The Cantareira Natural Park is the largest Natural Reserve in the urban area of the world and invites you to take a fascinating trail  through the Rainforest. It's the Macuco and Waterfall Trails. In addition to the trails, we will also visit the old water supply system of São Paulo city, which has now been declared a state historic complex.

TOUR PROGRAMMING:

Pick-up Time: 08:00AM at the Hotel

Arriving at Cantareira Natural Park, we gonna make a visit to the Headquarter of Park where we will visit the Interpretation Center of fauna and flora of the Park. After the visits we gonna start the Macuco and Waterfall Trail and then we will visit the complex that was part of the first water supply system of São Paulo City;

 

Before the activity, the tour guide will explain some safety and conduct instructions during the walk and then we will start the Macuco Trail, approximately 1 km long, where we will observe some species of fauna and flora of the region;

Then we will continue to the Waterfall Trail, approximately 4 km long, where we cross the Engordador River at different points with stops for photos and the possibility of bathing in 2 different waterfalls, "Engordador" and "Cachoeira Véu da Noiva" Waterfalls;

Upon returning from the hikes, we visited the viewpoint of the dam and the Pump House complex, an old water supply system of São Paulo.

​

The second stage of our tour will take place at Núcleo Pedra Grande with an 8km of hike (round trip) visiting the lake of the carps, trails adjacent to the walk way that will take us to the viewpoint on the top of Pedra Grande (the Big Stone), which provides us an incredible view of Sao Paulo City.

 

We finish the activity at the headquarters of Parque da Cantareira from where we will return to São Paulo downtown.
